Street artist Vhils (@vhils, his work is mostly known as large scale art installations created by hand tools chiselling hand applied plaster) has created an art work on the front facade of 95-97 Portobello Rd (formerly the Portobello Gold.) We applied for planning permission for the work which subsequently was objected to by 11 residents which meant the decision was referred to the council's committee. At which point the permission was rejected and an enforcement notice for removal issued. As the tenant of 95-97 Portobello Rd we plan to launch an appeal.
Please take a look at the existing and proposed images of the facade.
